Katoomba Christian Convention (KCC)
Katoomba Christian Convention (KCC) came to Siteflex to create a new attractive and informative website. Apart from being out of date, the primary reason for the KCC site upgrade was to bring the corporate website into line with other Convention sites.
The team at KCC were after a conventional yet highly memorable site that could be used as a marketing tool for the annual KCC conventions. Specifically, the site needed a minimal amount of scrolling on the home page, easy intuitive navigation to get users to the information they were after, while being highly informative.
In addition to more standard modules such as Events, two major design features were implemented on the kcc site which had not been previously achieved in Siteflex.
- The Weather Page, a dynamically generated weather report that utilizes an RSS feed and little good old Siteflex know-how.
- A flash-based Feature scroller was implemented on the KCC home page to advertise and promote upcoming conventions.
The site also incorporates online registration, an online shop and helpful links to booking accommodation, donating and venues. A great example of some of the possible complexities Siteflex has to offer.
