The optional Authenticated Intranet System module in Siteflex allows administrators to:

• Authenticate users using the Siteflex customer module
• Personalise navigation and page content so different end users will have a different experience on the web site
• Use an optional Microsoft LDAP (Active Directory) plugin that allows third-party authentication.

If you require that users register and login before accessing certain areas, you need this function as part of your Siteflex solution. This also affects the dynamic navigation system, which will only show pages to those who are allowed to view them. This means that a trusted user, such as a teacher, manager or CEO could have a different experiece to that of a student, assistant or mid-level manager. The next image illustrates the Properties of a page where only members of 'Registered' or 'Subscriber' are allowed to view it.
